Like most kids, I started riding a bike at a young age; cruising around on my tiny Schwinn, with a pig-shaped horn mounted to the handlebars, while wearing my awesome purple windbreaker. I am sure my parents never would have guessed where riding would take me back then. These days, I’ve traded the pig in for disc brakes and the rigid bike for suspension—though I still can’t resist a delicious ice cream cone after a ride. My racing has recently switched from XC to enduro. This new challenge has forced me to better my handling skills and push myself harder than ever before. I have embraced the enduro way and invested in a full face helmet and a fanny pack. Cannot wait to see where this road takes me! When I am not riding shuttles and shredding trail with friends, I am coaching the youngsters. Their willingness to learn and endless energy keeps me on my toes. They are amazing young athletes and are headed towards great things in life. They constantly amaze me and always put a smile on my face! |
