I know it has been awhile since my last post so I will quickly fill you in... WORS #2 was a success, finally felt like my bike was completely dialed in with my new Manitou suspension, Answer stem, bars, and Sun Ringle wheels! WOW I cannot thank my sponsors enough for getting my bike set up, and getting me to the race! Feels good to have my bike dialed and to be on top of the podium!
WORS #3 Battle of Camrock is so far my most favorite race of the year! The single track is technical with some steeper climbs and awesome descents! Plus I was stoked to get to hangout with my Madison buddies!
WORS #4 Wausau was another fun weekend! I just cannot say enough good things about the single track in this race! Technical, flowy, and just plain awesome!
And now on to the good stuff, Michigan Tech Junior Mountain Bike Camp! WOW I knew that camp was going to be fun but didn't know it was going to be this fun!!! Brian and I rolled into town around 3 pm and were able to get a few laps in on the flow trail before meeting up with the kids at 4:30. This year at camp there were 19 kids and 5 of them were girls! It was awesome to watch these girls rip! |
We were able to go to Copper Harbor, Sweed town, Churning Rapids, Adventure Mine, and Tech trails! Talk about a busy 5 days! By the time camp was coming to a close I found myself feeling sad that this wasn't going to happen next week, or the week after. :( I already miss the campers! It wasn't uncommon during camp to be laughing so hard that you had to leave the table so you didn't spit food all over everyone, or look over and see #Skittles and Brian doing the whip and the nae, nae, or the group of guys always finding a new challenge wheather its a wheelie comp, or doing front wheel stoppies up onto the curb. Did I mention that these kids SHRED?!
I cannot thank Brian enough to inviting me to join in on the camp fun this year!!!
